The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house by using a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family money isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not post any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS nsfas 2025 Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents click here from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people click here who are studying or intend to research at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
